Also it was -14C and the camera may not operate correctly under extreme cold temperatures....

I have a number of telescopes but a this time of year... just too cold to stand outside.... will continue experimenting as summer approaches....

Markus : Have you tried imaging with a Lytro without it's front lens assembly? I am waiting to you to try this as I am too scare to wreck a $400 camera....

Peter, I have not tried this. Unfortunately, I probably won't have enough time for several months. :(
