Lytro Starts First International LightField Contest

Lytro Starts First International LightField Contest
Following their recent announcement, Lytro just has started the first ever International LightField Photo Contest.
For the next two months, you’ll have the chance to enter one Living Picture per day, per username. More precisely, submissions are accepted from May 1 to 21, and from June 1 to 21, 2013.
If your picture makes it to the top 25 of that month (public votes), it moves up to the second round (final judging).
From the 50 finalists, a panel of “qualified judges selected by Lytro” will choose an overall winner (prize: 500 $ gift card or in cash, at Lytro’s discretion, and an invitation to Lytro’s Professional Shooter Program) and 4 four runner-ups (prize: 250 $ gift card or in cash).
Final judging will take into account the three factors “Creativity and storytelling” (40 %), “Composition” (30 %) and Compelling Content (30 %).

If you don’t own a Lytro LightField Camera, the voter’s sweepstakes will give you a chance to win one: Vote for your favourite LightField picture via Facebook or Twitter during the first three weeks of each month (once per day, per site), and you may be the lucky winner of an 8 GB LightField camera – one of 6 cameras in total, over the entire promotion period.
Please note that the sweepstakes are open to all international submissions as well!

You can enter your LightField pictures, as well as vote for others’, at contest.lytro.com/pictures. For details, have a look at the official rules.
