Attaching wide angle converter to Lytro
on: 2014/05/29 06:55

Hi,

I wanted to get wider angle with my Lytro. I had a cheap Vivitar 0.43x Wide Angle Converter lying around, and wanted to attach it to the Lytro. I did not want to glue a filter ring on the camera, so I was able to cut a section of a bicycle inner tube and use it to attach the Lytro.

Please see the attached photos.

This mod is fully reversible and the photos have no vignetting and can be refocused and perspective shifted.

Thanks,
James

The rook is touching the outer lens of the wide converter.

Hi James,
great idea with the innter tube for a removable mount, and very nice result with the chess close-up. I'd love to see some more pictures taken in a daylight setting!
